“Twinkle Stars (A. M. I) Montessori” launched in December 1999, with a vision to lay the foundation of an all round education of which the end result will be well adjusted, well disciplined, well- educated all- rounders who will be the most valuable gift to our country.

We are proud to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Twinkle Stars (A. M. I.) Montessori in the year 2024 and happy to announce that more than 1,300 students from our school have gained entrance to leading schools in Colombo.

We had the greatest backing and help of Mr. R.I.T.Alles, Director of Gateway International School, who was also the chief guest at the opening of the Montessori, with just 08 children. From that day, we have come a long way indeed. We are proud to say that nearly 250 kids are studying in our school, now.

The school became a success in a very short time and every year a considerable number of children successfully complete the Montessori education and stepped into leading schools to get a more formal education. St. Peter’s College Colombo 4, St. Thomas College – Mount Lavinia, St. Joseph’s College - Colombo, D.S. Senanayake College - Colombo, St. Bridget’s Convent – Colombo, Holy Family Convent – Bambalapitiya, St. Lawrence School - Wellawatte, Visaka Vidyalaya – Colombo, St. Sebastian’s College - Moratuwa, Prince of Wales College -Moratuwa, Royal College - Panadura , Sri Sumangala College - Panadura, Good Shepherd Convent - Panadura , & St. John’s Girls School - Panadura are some of the schools which are more than happy to have Twinkle Stars Kids. They are doing extremely well in these schools at present.

The year end concert and prize giving is a boost to your child’s confidence and a tribute to the child’s efforts throughout the year. It is also a beautiful, novel experience that they all enjoy immensely. We had twenty six “Year end Concerts” and twenty four “Awurudu Celebrations” up to now.

Our objectives are not merely statement written down for good show, but rather from the structure of our work plan in the class room. Achieving these objectives is our vision, which happens often in your child’s class room.

I am happy today that all this happen under the supervision of a Directress who had her AMI Montessori Diploma at Good Shepherd’s Maria Montessori Training Center at St. Bridget’s Convent Colombo 07, and has the experience of teaching little children in St. Bridget’s Convent – Colombo 07, Good Shepherd’s Convent - Kotahena, St. Lawrence School - Wellawatte and Gateway International School - Borella. We are indeed very lucky to have the services of Eighteen well- trained, experienced teachers. The co-operation rendered by the parents are also laudable.

We intend to introduce new equipment to our Montessori, improve swimming classes, recruit more Teachers, and Introduce educational equipment, Launch computer studies, Have Annual Exhibitions, Kids play days, Year-end concerts & Avurudu Celebrations.
